OIAF 2014 CHARITY

The Oxford International Art Fair 2014 supported orphanage in Kathmandu which is home to around 40 children from all ages. By donating items which the children simply have no access to but will provide real joy and can be a special treat. Also spending time painting, drawing, and playing games and as previously raising awareness of the great work that the orphanage does to provide additional gifting support.

Visitors to the OIAF 2014 were able to buy tickets to enter a draw of winning an original painting by Artist Paul Jordan - who painted, in his unique style, the beautiful Oxford University Radcliffe Camera. All money raised went to the orphanage in Kathmandu.

Our staff visited the orphanage back in February 2014. They went there to donate educational materials, books, toys and art supplies. Natal and Vera organised art classes for the orphans all in preparation to create a huge colourful Mural in Kathmandu. The Mural will remain a sign of all the money raised at the Oxford International Art Fair 2014. One of the orphans, said: “We are so happy with all the donated gifts, it makes us also very happy to know that Oxford is thinking of us.”

Natal said: “The finished Mural is a sign for all things we have achieved, and that art and creativity can come a long way. For this we have to thank everyone that involved with the Oxford International Art Fair, from exhibitors to visitors, and all sponsors and partners in Oxford."
